About a week ago, I finally broke down and spent a gargantuan amount of money and purchased my first 3D printer. I had been toying with the idea for years ever since the first consumer one was released years ago. I made up excuses for the longest time. They look complicated. Would I be able to create anything useful? They seem very expensive to me. I don't want to wait days for the printer to produce something. I had so many excuses and yet I was intrigued by the idea of owning a device that would allow me to create cool things from scratch. I also currently own a Glowforge, a Cricut, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut, not to mention I've done photography, video production, web design, and resin work. And yet, I still haven't purchased a 3D printer until now. Over the last few days I have printing wondrous things, posting photos on Facebook, and answering tons of questions from people wanting advice on what to buy. The timing seems spot on to create a website where I can showcase my creations, offer advice, and hopefully positively inspire people to DIY there own projects.
I have a pretty extensive resume. I sometimes forget that. I've done many things over my lifetime and yet, I often find myself thinking I haven't done much at all. I've always worked for companies, supported others, but never really explored what I would want to do, until now. So I've decided. What can I. really do, if I apply myself? What kind of business can I produce, where the focus is on bringing ideas to life? Follow me on my journey as I explore bleeding edge creative and artistic technology.
